What is an ISO File?
An ISO file is a single file which contains an image (identical copy) of an entire CD-ROM. Similar in nature to a ZIP file, and ISO image can be used to extract from a single ISO file a set of files and folders directly to a CD.
How to Create an ISO file with Burn My Files
Click on "Create ISO Image File" in the side menu.
Enter the name and location of your ISO image in the "Save Image As" field, e.g: C:\my-iso-image.iso.
You must select a pre-set maximum size of your ISO file from the drop down menu selection. The sizes are pre-configured for the type of media to which you intend to burn the ISO image, i.e:
- 650mb - Standard CD media
- 4.7gb - Standard DVD media
- 25gb - Blue Ray media
Click the "Add" button to add the files to the image.
The colored graph indicates the volume of data selected compared against your selection fo the pre-set maximum size of the ISO file.
GREEN: The volume of files selected is less than the capacity of the disk. It is OK to proceed.
YELLOW: The volume of files selected is approaching the capacity of the disk. It is OK to proceed.
